HELP with Roush Custom skim order!!!!!

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone out there has regular contact with Eric over at Roush Customs...?
I've been waiting on my ordered & paid for custom skim since April, and still no board..

A few emails saying it'll be done "soon", but no word since August..
~ Even after I've emailed him a couple times requesting status updates...nada...

is this a normal wait for a custom...?
Anyone else here order a board from him, and experience the same? If so, what was the magic word to get your board shipped?! (or even just get an Email from him???)

Any ideas, advice out there?

Same here, I waited 5 months for two boards I ordered and paid for. Finally I asked for my money back because it was taking so long and I needed a board when the season was about to start. I got a quick reply telling me he was working on them and a couple of days later he also sent me some photos of my new boards and shipped them to me.

Still this is way to long to wait for a board. The board itself is awesome but because of that I can't recommend him to anyone. At least you shouldn't pay up front.

I had the same problem. Ordered in Jan, arrived in July, lots of unanswered emails, but he did come through. I think he has a few other projects on the boil as well as the skim business so is a little erratic in delivery. Good product though. Its a shame you cant get the surftech ones now as that would be the ideal solution.

errrr....so I wasn't the only one going thru this loooong drawn out wait for a board...
I month or two I can see, and keep my excitment, but I'm into my 7th month...dissapointing indeeed..
Appears my refund's a few months overdue...

Its a shame you cant get the surftech ones now as that would be the ideal solution.

Can't get the Surftech Roush skims now?!
Had no idea..I was think'n of a Morpheous as plan-b..

I ordered November 2009 and finally received sometime in May 2010. Same type of experience. Eventually I tracked down a phone number and made a few calls.

I can guarantee it's worth the wait. The board is phenomenal. From my experience he is a super, humble, honest guy. It just takes him forever to get you the product, but the boards are awesome.

I asked for my refund last week, but alas, no board, no refund, no reply..(again.....)
I'd like to just get a refund tho, and not deal with this BS silent treatment, and not knowing what's gonna happen..

Has anyone had any experience filing a disput w/PayPal - past it's 45 day "disput period"?
Any tips, advice on how I can just get my money back?

Sorry to hear about this. I ordered a Rousch and had the board in a respectable time. I sent him half and emailed him a few times. From what it seemed to me was he does all the boards himself. From the pics on the website, it looks like a small operation. I knew what to expect because I had a similar issue where I started to feel like I was being blown off. I ordered a custom made fiberglass kayak from Texas, and it took forever! They could only make 2 or 3 at a time.

Maybe he's super busy making boards and is backed up, I hope it is only a mistake because my board rides so nice and he seemed like a guy doing what he loves. I want to buy another in the future, so let us know what's up if/when you get the board or money.

I am actually relieved to hear it may still come. Maybe in time for spring.

Left my surftech morphius on the beach last week in Hatteras trying to rush off to catch up with a downwinder. Hasn't showed back up

Just got a new morphius replacement from real kiteboarding at a really good deal.

Sounds like there have been quite a few of us in line for boards from E. Roush..and still a few more waiting..(Rolavi too)

I've sent a few more emails, all w/no replies..

Its now 8 months & counting for my board.....Debating on whether I should post on Kiteforum too..

Great product, but takes a while to get one.

Email Eric again, use a different email address.
and tell him about the people wanting to order, but waiting
to see your new custom Roush.

Still haven't seen mine, nor have I received any replies to my emails...

Tried searching for Eric's tel.phone number on his site, but its not listed.
Should I be surprised?
