I've been loving strapless riding with my surfboards since last winter and just bought my first skimboard a Beachdog Skim. Riding it at first was much easier than I thought it would be, but I guess all those hours of strapless riding on the surfboards helps. I sold one of my two TT boards to buy this. I like the TT for some days, but didn't need two of them...
http://beachdogskim.com/What I like about it is how playful it feels compared to my surfboards. Ideal for the less than epic days. I'm keen to see where the Beachdog slots into my quiver. You can buy a board thinking you'll use it a certain way, but often you end up seeing a whole different side of the board and it ends up being a lot different than you expected.
I'll post a review after this winter once I've had a 20-30 sessions of skim action.
Anyways great site. I'm keen to learn as much as I can from reading what folks are sharing...
safe riding,
Vik
