Steering the kite with one hand when doing board grab jumps

I'm new here and I ran into a problem when practicing strapless jumps with a grab.
I'm trying to do long floaty jumps while grabbing the board with one hand and steering the kite with the other. When I take off I'm steering my kite towards 12 o'clock and place my back hand in the center of the bar (the depower rope is between my index and middle finger) so that I can sheet in the bar for maximum airtime.
However, after the apex of the jump I find it very hard to steer the kite back for landing with only my back hand (my front hand is busy grabbing the board).
Any tips on how to steer the kite forward again with just the back hand?
