Surfboard vs Skimboard

Postby mattv » Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:17 am

I normally ride a Roush customer skim board but lately we have been having some good waves so I have been riding my surfboard about 95% of the time for the last month.

Last week I started trying to get bigger and bigger airs on the surfboard using the waves on the way out as ramps. Then it hit me. Getting air on the surfboard is way easier that getting air on the skim. Has anyone else noticed this?

I still like the skim but the surfboard is so much easier to grab hold of when going big and easier to get back under my feet.
