Advice needed for Strapless Surfboard

Postby Lmrutledge » Sun Aug 01, 2010 2:19 pm

Any input would be appreciated. I am 6 ft 5 and weigh 240lbs. Ride in the Atlantic off Daytona.

Looking for a board in the small wave choppy in between conditons that we have. I have been kiting since 2000.

I can ride surfboard and go upwind while riding strapless. Learning to jibe with my size is another project. Any advice on a board that I can learn some skills on as I pro gress?

Thx,

LMR

Something with a bit more width than your current board will help you progress with your gybes, etc. For your size, a 6'0 fish with a fair amount of width would probably be fun. Also, check out a video I made explaining how to gybe...it might help you out: http://www.vimeo.com/13593102
