Assuming the rocker you described (which is spot on for a flat water skim), shape will produce different results depending on your weight and water conditions. I would say this:
- 130 cm is at the lower end length wise for a 80kg rider. If you weigh less, it's OK. If you weigh more, you might want to consider 135cm or 140cm in length.
- The left shape has more surface overall, and especially more surface in the tail.
- Left shape is therefore better suited for low wind use and more rider weight.
- Right shape is better suited for higher wind and smaller rider weight. A more pinned tail and narrower shape allows you to hold down significantly more air.
So it comes down to your personal specs and the wind & water conditions you are using your board in. IMHO.
